Jose Canseco is a former player of the Major League Baseball. This player was banned for administration of steroids. This former baseball player wrote a book “Juiced” in which he confirmed that many players of the MLB doped.
Now Jose Canseco has been invited to play for the Tigres de Quintana Roo of Cancun. This person has talked about his desire to play in the MLB again. This person has written on Twitter that Cancun is his following step towards the MLB.
This person has not played professional baseball since 2001 after he had played for the Chicago White Sox. This player was probably blackballed by baseball because of his comments related to steroids and described in the book “Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant ‘Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big”. He has identified himself as the “godfather” of steroids in baseball and took credit for introducing these products in baseball. This baseball player openly acknowledged in his book that he had administrated anabolic steroids and other medications which cause performance-enhancing effects. The author of the book mentioned also names of other baseball players who administrated steroids. Such baseball players, as Mark McGwire, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmeiro, Ivan Rodriguez, and Jason Giambi were named by Jose Canseco.
Although anabolic steroids can be bought without any prescription at Mexican pharmacies, they are banned in MLB.
According to some sources, Jose Canseco will be tested for banned drugs by the Quintana Roo Tigers.
Jose Canseco confirms that he has discontinued using steroids certain years ago. According to some sources, since stopping using steroids it had been indicated testosterone replacement therapy for him to treat several problems connected with low testosterone level.
Jose Canseco said that he had suffered from several negative symptoms due to intake of steroids. So, his physician had to prescribe him a testosterone gel to relieve from reduced libido and depression.
While he put efforts to restore his natural testosterone production, he got certain troubles with laws. He was detained for about 9 hours by the San Diego Immigration and Customs Enforcement after he had been caught possessing HCG at the international border. His house was raided by police officers but no any steroids were discovered.
Although Jose Canseco will never escape from his steroid past, he put efforts to continue playing baseball professionally.
